Business, AIDS, and Africa
The Africa Competitiveness Report, prepared by the World Economic Forum and published by Oxford University Press, explores the impact of HIV/AIDS for the first time. Our report finds strongly divergent views on the importance of AIDS among African businesses, but concludes: “A campaign against HIV/AIDS offers business leaders the chance to set a positive agenda, to improve relationships with workers and consumers, to build brands and to invest in the reputation of the business community as a whole.” (River Path: co-authors)
